पास्ट कंटिन्युअस टेंस (Past Continuous Tense) की पहचान: हिंदी के वाक्यों के अंत में : रहा था रहे थे, रही थी
यदि पास्ट टेंस में कोई कार्य कुछ देर के लिए लगातार चल रहा था, तो उसे इसी टेंस में बनाओl
टेंस में was/were + 1st form of
the verb with ‘ing’ का प्रयोग किया जाता है
1. जब मैं नींद से जागा तो मुर्गा बांग दे रहा था १
When I woke up, the cock was crowing.
2. जब मैं अस्तबल में गया तो सभी घोड़े हिनहिना रहे थे ।
When I went in the stable,all the horses were neighing.
3. जब मैं स्कूल
पहुंचा तो सभी विद्याथी प्रार्थना गीत गा रहे थे १
When I reached school, all the students were
singing a prayer.
4. मछुआरे नदी पार कर रहे थे जबकि हम किनारे पर खड़े उन्हें देख रहे थे
The fishermen were crossing the river while we were watching them
standing on the bank of it.
5. नौकरानी कपडे निचोड़ रही थी जबकि उसका पति निचोड़े हुए कपड़ों को धूप में सुखारहा था १
The maid–servant was wringing the clothes
while her husband was drying them in the sun.
6. जब पुलिस घटना स्थल पर पहुंची तो अपराधी सभी सबूत नष्ट कर रहा था १
When the police reached the place of the incident, the criminal was
removing all the evidences.
7. कल यहाँ इतनी बारिश हुई की सभी नदियों का जल तेज़ गति से बह रहा था १
It rained so heavily here yesterday that the
water of all the rivers was flowing at a fast speed.
8. मजदूर नदी पर बांध बना रहे थे १
The labourers were building a bridge over
the river.
9. बन्दर बाग़ में ऊधम मचा रहे थे १
The monkeys were creating nuisance in the garden.

They were preparing for the Diwali festival.

I peeped through the window yesterday and
